Boerewors, literally translated as "farmer's sausage", is a traditional South African sausage, distinguished by its unique spiral shape and rich flavour. This coarsely minced sausage consists mainly of beef, often mixed with pork or lamb, and is robustly seasoned with coriander, nutmeg, and cloves, often with a dash of vinegar too. You'll find it at every Braai and often as a quick snack in a "Boerie Roll", a hot-dog-like bun, a true delicacy of South African cuisine.
