Kanelbullar

Almost always accompanying **Fika**, the Swedish coffee break, is a **Kanelbulle**. The soft yeast dough is usually spiced with cardamom and filled with butter, sugar, and cinnamon, topped with coarse pearl sugar (**pärlsocker**). You can find them in virtually every bakery and café; on October 4th, Sweden even celebrates Cinnamon Bun Day (**Kanelbullens dag**).
