Butter Tart

A small shortcrust tartlet with a filling of butter, sugar, syrup, and egg that bakes up semi-solid. The inclusion of raisins or pecans is debated. Butter Tarts are widespread in Ontario, where bakeries form entire "Butter Tart Trails".
