    The small island lies roughly six kilometers off Marang and is reachable by boat in about 15 minutes. There are no roads, just a handful of simple chalets on the west coast. Kapas is quieter than Perhentian and Redang and is suitable for snorkeling, kayaking, and relaxing. Like the entire east coast, the season is roughly March to October, with most accommodations closing during the Northeast Monsoon.
