    Rättvik is located on the eastern shore of Lake Siljan in Dalarna, blending nature with cherished tradition. At 628 meters, the Långbryggan is the world's longest inland lake pier and was built in 1895 as a landing stage for steamships. The medieval Rättvik Church with its historic church stables is a landmark of the town. About eight kilometers north lies Dalhalla, an open-air arena in a former limestone quarry with space for around 6,000 visitors. In summer, the Classic Car Week (always in calendar week 31) and the Musik vid Siljan festival (calendar week 27) take place, and the Midsummer celebrations are also considered particularly beautiful.

    1Holmen (Långbryggan)

    The Långbryggan, at 628 meters, is the world's longest inland lake pier. It was built in 1895 as a landing stage for the steamboat between Rättvik and Leksand. Today, excursion boats dock here in summer, and due to the shallow shore, the pier is a popular swimming spot.

    3Dalhalla

    Dalhalla is an open-air arena in the former limestone quarry Draggängarna, about eight kilometers north of Rättvik. The quarry was decommissioned in 1990; its amphitheater-like shape and good acoustics led to its repurposing; the arena officially opened in 1995. It accommodates around 6,000 visitors and hosts concerts from opera to pop during the summer.

    The Church by the LakeRättviks kyrka is a medieval church located by Siljan. The roof trusses of its nave date back to 1354-1367, and inside you'll discover a four-meter-tall triumphal cross and medieval wooden sculptures. Surrounding the church are the old church stables, where worshippers once housed their horses.Tradition and MusicCharacteristic of the area are red-painted wooden houses, folk costumes, and Midsummer celebrations featuring dancing around the maypole. The Musik vid Siljan festival has been among Sweden's oldest music festivals since 1969.DalhallaIn the early 1990s, the open-air arena Dalhalla emerged from the former Draggängarna limestone quarry. Officially inaugurated in 1995, it now hosts concerts ranging from opera to pop.

The town is known as the finish line of the Vasaloppet, the world's largest cross-country ski race, which has run over 90 kilometers from Berga by near Sälen to Mora since 1922; in 2027, it takes place on March 7. In nearby Nusnäs, Dalahästar have been hand-carved and painted at Nils Olsson since 1928. The Zornmuseet displays works by painter Anders Zorn, whose home, Zorngården, can be visited on a guided tour.
