    Vast dripstone cave with massive stalactites and stalagmites, with a 32-meter-high column in the Hall of the Cataclysm. In the Hall of the Cascade, concerts and dance festivals are held.

    The viewpoint in the heart of the Old Town juts out into the sea on a rocky outcrop. Formerly, a gun battery stood here, destroyed during the War of Independence; two old cannons serve as a reminder. The name is said to originate from King Alfonso XII, who visited Nerja in 1885 after an earthquake; a life-sized statue of the king stands by the railing.

    The aqueduct near Maro, east of Nerja, is associated with the San Joaquín sugar factory, which was built in 1889. It supplied the factory with water and probably also fields west of Maro. Its tiered rows of arches have been protected since 1969.
