    1Tsitsikamma Canopy Tours

    On zip lines, you glide from platform to platform through the jungle canopy. The tour starts in the village and lasts about half a day. Book in advance.

    2Tsitsikamma Blackwater Tubing

    You float on an inner tube through the gorge of the Storms River. The water is stained dark by tannin. Tours depend on the water level; a wetsuit is provided.

    Culture & History

    The Tsitsikamma forests were long a center of logging, especially for Yellowwood and Stinkwood. The village emerged around this forestry. Today it lives from tourism around the National Park.

    Traveling

    The village is small; all within is walkable. You need a car for Storms River Mouth, Bloukrans Bridge, and beyond along the Garden Route. The Baz Bus and intercity coaches stop on the N2; there's no public transport into the park.

    The Tsitsikamma section of the Garden Route National Park stretches along a steep rocky coastline between Nature's Valley and the mouth of the Storms River. The park is known for the suspension bridge at Storms River Mouth and the multi-day Otter Trail.
