There is no subway or tram network here; instead, public transport is mainly provided by regional bus lines. These reliably connect Sirmione with surrounding towns like Desenzano or Peschiera del Garda, as well as the larger cities of Verona and Brescia. Tickets are conveniently available directly from the bus driver, in Tabaccherie shops, or via the apps of regional transport companies, and multi-journey tickets can be advisable for longer stays.For exploring the peninsula outside the historic center, bicycles and e-scooters, which can be rented in many places, are a popular choice. The historic center itself, however, is largely car-free and excellently explored on foot, making the charming alleys and squares most enjoyable to experience. Taxis are available for individual trips, while ride-sharing services are less common in this region. Parking spaces are mostly located outside the old town, from where one can comfortably walk the short distance to the center or use the shuttle bus.
