    1Cape Agulhas Leuchtturm

    The lighthouse, commissioned in 1849, is the second oldest still active in the country. You ascend steep stairs and ladders to the platform under the lamp and gaze out over the coast. Inside the building, a small museum showcases the history of lighthouses and shipwrecks at the Cape.

    A stone monument and plaque designate Africa's southernmost point, officially also the boundary between the Atlantic and Indian Oceans. A short wooden boardwalk leads from the parking area.

    3Agulhas National Park

    The National Park protects the flat coastal plain around the Cape with Fynbos, wetlands, and many bird species. Short hiking trails lead along the coast, including to the wreck of the Meisho Maru 38 in the surf.

    Pelican's Harbour Cafe (Struisbaai)

    Simple café at Struisbaai harbour, a few kilometres east of the Cape. The menu features fish, calamari, and breakfast. Large stingrays often swim in the harbour basin, which you can see from the pier.
