This route follows the Baltic Sea coast from Lübeck, whose Old Town has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1987, via the Hanseatic cities of Wismar, Rostock, and Stralsund to Rügen. The Old Towns of Wismar and Stralsund have jointly been part of the World Heritage since 2002. On Rügen, you stay in Binz and hike in Jasmund National Park to the 118-meter-high Königsstuhl chalk cliff. Finally, it's off to the Imperial Spas on Usedom with the over twelve-kilometer-long promenade from Bansin to Swinemünde.
Hanseatic towns and seaside resorts alternate, stages are short. Trains also cover much: The RB 11 runs hourly Wismar-Bad Doberan-Rostock. Rostock continues to Stralsund, Stralsund has trains to Binz, and Usedom links to long-distance services via Züssow. With a motorhome, you're more flexible for detours like Kap Arkona.
