Buriram, an emerging city in Isaan, offers charming ways to explore it. An extensive subway or tram system is nowhere to be found here; local public transport relies primarily on Songthaews and occasionally buses, whose routes are often opaque for visitors. For flexibility, taxis and ride-sharing services like Grab are the best choice, with the latter offering transparent prices and being highly recommended. Short distances can often be covered cheaply with motorcycle taxis; here, it's advisable to negotiate the price beforehand.For active explorers, bicycles are an excellent option for exploring the flat city and its surroundings, especially around the Chang International Circuit or Phanom Rung Historical Park; numerous hotels offer rental bikes. E-scooters, however, are still rare. The city center is partly pedestrian-friendly, but longer distances or trips to major attractions outside the center may require a transport solution.
