The long-awaited Metro is opening gradually and promises fast connectivity through the city.Alternatively, bicycles and e-scooters, available through various sharing providers, are very popular, especially along the coast. Taxis are numerous and relatively inexpensive in Thessaloniki; local taxi apps offer convenient booking options, while traditional ride-sharing services are not widespread. Due to lively traffic during peak hours, always plan a little extra time, especially when you need to reach the airport.
