The Cathédrale Saint-Vincent evolved in several phases between the late 11th and early 16th centuries: parts are Romanesque, its choir, nave vaults, side chapels, and cloister are Gothic. The west façade was renovated in Neo-Gothic style in the 19th century after the old towers became dilapidated; since then, two symmetrical, 42-meter-high towers flank it.Inside, you'll see a high nave, stained-glass windows, sculpted capitals, and several side chapels. Next to the church lies the Late Gothic cloister. Until the French Revolution, Chalon was a bishopric.Our Tip: In the morning, a lot of light streams through the windows. From Place Saint-Vincent, you get a full view of the entire west façade.
