Llanos de La Larri
The Llanos de La Larri are an impressive plateau in the heart of the French Pyrenees National Park, close to the Spanish border. Here you'll find wide, green meadows, crisscrossed by crystal-clear mountain streams, surrounded by majestic peaks. Historically, these plains often served as summer pastures for shepherds, shaping their open landscape. Today, they are a sanctuary for diverse alpine flora and fauna. Visitors can undertake extensive hikes here and fully enjoy the untouched nature. The area is known for its tranquility and spectacular panoramas, especially in early summer when the wildflowers bloom. Our Tip: To avoid the largest crowds, plan your visit early in the morning or during the off-season (outside July/August). An ideal photo spot is the view of the Cirque de La Larri from the upper end of the plateau.
