    Svendborg is the terminus of the train line from Odense; the journey takes just under an hour. The station, port, and old town are close together and within walking distance.The Svendborgsund Bridge leads to Tåsinge and Langeland; it's strenuous by bike due to its incline. The Øhavsstien hiking trail and ferries make the town a good starting point for tours into the archipelago.
