Marselisborg Deer Park
Marselisborg Dyrehave, nestled within the sprawling Marselisborg Forests south of Aarhus, offers you a unique nature experience. Originally established as part of the royal estate around Marselisborg Palace, this deer park now serves as a freely accessible recreational area. Here you'll encounter fallow deer and sika deer, which roam freely within the large, fenced area. With a bit of luck and patience, you can observe the animals up close and even feed them; carrots and apples are well-suited for this. Wild boars can also be found in a separate enclosure. Our Tip: Visit the park preferably in the early morning or late afternoon, when the animals are most active and visitor numbers are lower. For impressive photos of the grazing herds, the area near the entrance is recommended, where the animals are often tamer. Always maintain a respectful distance from the animals.
