Mols Bjerge National Park is located in southern Djursland between Aarhus and Ebeltoft. The Ice Age left behind hills, hollows, and heath-covered slopes here, which appear almost mountainous by Danish standards. Amidst these lie beech forests, fields, small villages, and Bronze Age burial mounds. From the heights, you can look out over Aarhus Bay and Ebeltoft Vig.

Trehøje
Three Bronze Age burial mounds on a 127-meter-high ridge, from which you look far over the park and the bays. From the small car park, hiking trails lead in all directions.
Stabelhøje
Bronze Age burial mound in the north of the park. A short uphill walk from the car park, and from the top you overlook almost all of Mols.
Strand Bogens
Quiet beach on the south coast of Mols with clear water and few stones. Holiday homes are located behind the beach; outside the season, you're often almost alone.
Natural Feature
Agri Bavnehøj
The park's highest peak offers views of hills, forests, and bays. A marked circular route leads from the summit across fields and through small woods, with blackberries along the path in late summer.
Dining & Drinks
Vegetarian fine-dining restaurant on the northern edge of the park. Most ingredients are from its own garden and immediate surroundings, served with natural wines and homemade kombuchas. Reservations only.
Cafe and hostel at the crossroads in Agri, in the middle of the park. Coffee, homemade cake, and ice cream available. In good weather, you sit outside. Popular stop for hikers and cyclists.
Café in Femmøller with Specialty Coffee, breakfast, brunch, and pastries. On nice days, you can sit in the garden; a reservation is worthwhile.
Kitchenware and delicatessen shop with a small cafe. The courtyard offers simple lunches and cakes. Dogs are welcome.
Food and Drink
Within the National Park, dining options are scarce. You can eat in the surrounding towns or directly from producers.
Cafes in Femmøller and Agri
At the southern edge of the park in Femmøller are two cafés, and mid-park, Café På Toppen in Agri. Outside of peak season, opening hours are often limited to weekends.
Provisions from Rønde and Ebeltoft
You'll find supermarkets and bakeries in Rønde and Ebeltoft. For a hiking day, it's best to bring food and water, as supplies are scarce within the park itself.
Picnic with a View
Benches and tables are available at several access points. Picnic on Trehøje or Agri Bavnehøj for the peninsula's best view.
The Culture and History
On the hills of Mols lie numerous Bronze Age burial mounds, such as Trehøje and Stabelhøje. The open heathlands were only created through centuries of grazing; today, cattle, sheep, and horses keep them open again.In the north of the park lies the ruin of Kalø, a royal castle from 1313. The churches in the villages largely date back to the Middle Ages.
Exploring the National Park
Buses operate from Aarhus and Ebeltoft to towns bordering the park. During summer, a guided National Park bus departs from Frigate Jylland in Ebeltoft, making several stops within the park. Within the park, it's best to explore on foot or by bike; some paths are sandy. Parking is available at trailheads such as Trehøje and Agri Bavnehøj. Sturdy footwear is advisable.
