Extremadura

Extremadura in western Spain is a region with an exceptionally rich cultural, artistic, and historical heritage that has left deep traces across its landscapes and cities. Its strategic location made it a melting pot of civilizations over millennia, whose influence is still palpable today.The Roman presence profoundly shaped the region from the 1st century BC, as strikingly evidenced by the impressive Archaeological Ensemble of Mérida, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
